Week of May 5th to May 11th

Hey there 👋 I’m Daniela, and every week I round up the coolest events in Paris — most of them free or affordable. Each edition is a bit different depending on what’s happening. Here's what I’d add to your calendar for May 5–11:
During the Week:
04-11/05: Fête du Pain @Parvis de Notre-Dame (Free Entry) 🥖
The Fête du Pain is back for its 29th edition, transforming the square in front of Notre-Dame into an open-air bakery. Artisan bakers from across France will host live demos, tastings, and workshops celebrating French bread-making traditions.
06/05: Life Drawing @La Maison Bistrot (16€) ✏️
Tuesday night drawing session with a live model. Expect a mix of short and long poses, a snack break, and an optional group share at the end. Bring your own materials—or borrow some on-site.
06-11/05: Creative Fair @Le Comptoir Générale (Free Entry) 🛍️
A creative event with 9 immersive spaces, 18 emerging talents, and 3 parties throughout the week. Browse new designers, grab a drink, chill in the garden, or stay for the late-night vibe.
07-18/05: Electro Cruise Mini Festival @La Madrague (11-24€)🛳️
@LaMadrague is hosting 10 days of party cruises and dockside sets. Check their site to see the full lineup of artists and DJs onboard.
07/05: Theatrical debate show: “Racists, sexists, climate skeptics: how to convince them?” (Free Entry) 🎭
@SoGood magazine shares stories of people making the world better (or at least less terrible). To celebrate their new issue they are hosting a theatrical live debate with sharp comebacks, surprise guests, and free drinks for the first 50 arrivals.
08/05: Ciné-Mailles: Howl’s Moving Castle (VOSTF) @Studio des Ursulines (7.20€) 🧶
A cozy crochet-friendly screening of Howl’s Moving Castle hosted by the Paris Crochet & Knitting Club. Sip tea and stitch while watching this cult classic in a charming cinema.
During the Weekend:
09/05: Free Night Visit @Musée des Arts et Métiers (Free Entry) 🏛️
Explore the Musée des Arts et Métiers for free this Friday from 6 PM to 9 PM during their evening opening.
09-11/05:Tous à l’Opéra – “Melting Pot” Edition (Free Entry) 🎭
The 18th edition of this nationwide event opens the doors of France’s opera houses — including some of Paris’ most iconic venues. This year’s theme, “Melting Pot,” celebrates diversity in opera through free performances, behind-the-scenes tours, and workshops.
10/05: Open Air @Parc de Belleville (Free Entry) 🪩
@ToilettesMixtes is taking over Belleville amphitheater with an afternoon of house and techno DJ sets. From 1 PM to 7 PM—bring a blanket and friends!
11/05: Concert @Kiosque du Jardin du Luxembourg (Free Entry) 🎶
Relax with an open-air wind orchestra performance by the Ensemble Harmonique de Saint-Michel-sur-Orge in the heart of the gardens.
